Cape Town Part One

We have been staying in Cape Town for the last 4 weeks over the Christmas and New Year holidays not in a tent mind you or a caravan but actually in a house which has made a nice change. It has been fun catching up with Rob's family and doing a bit of sightseeing around and about the Cape. We didn't go up Table Mountain this time but we could see it all the time.
This was the view we saw from Priscilla's garden every day.

Just a few photos of Priscilla's house that we have been staying in and looking after while she was away for awhile.

These photos were taken while walking around beautiful Kirstenbosch Gardens.

This was the Tree Canopy walk which was quite amazing when in the middle the whole bridge swayed from side to side.
A very large fig tree

That looks like a stalk of broccoli from a distance!!

We had a boat trip around the harbour while at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.

There were plenty of seals to take photos who seemed to perform for us as we went by.

Definitely siesta time!

We took a drive up the west coast to Langebaan one evening.

We had both visited this place about 35 or so years ago when it was just a very small village but now it is a huge holiday town with numerous holiday homes and apartments and even a casino complex.

The only place I remembered from way back was the beach area.

This is where we had a nice meal.
Part two on Cape Town will follow shortly.
