We are staying at a campsite called Little Winnick near St Austell.

The last time I came to Cornwall I was only a child and all I can remember of that holiday is visiting Tintagel Castle, we probably stayed in a Holiday Camp as that was the thing to do in the 60s but I can't remember where. Rob hasn't been down here before so it is all new to him but we do know that his grandparents came from this area so we are going to have a look around and see if we can find any information about them.
On Thursday we decided to go down to Lands End, it wasn't too far just over an hour, mainly on main roads but towards the end we did go down some narrow roads and through some pretty villages. Glad we didn't have the caravan on the back. Like everything today it cost us £6.00 to enter the area and park but we had a couple of hours there and enjoyed the scenery. We were very lucky with the weather as it was warm and sunny, I expect it can get very bleak there on a rainy and cold day. Anyway it was definitely a day for photographs and I took loads but I will only put a few on now.

When we left Lands End we drove a short distance to Sennen Cove, a stunning beach down a really narrow winding road.
Unfortunately on our way home we had a slight problem, the power steering went on the car, luckily Rob was driving as I don't think I would have managed. Rob said the car was really heavy to steer especially on the narrow winding roads but we did manage to get back to the campsite.
So the following day was spent with me doing the laundry and Rob fixing the car. He did try a couple of garages but they couldn't help us for a week. Anyway he pulled up the awning on the side and drove the bonnet under the awning and worked that way, after getting a new power steering pump. A few hours later it was all fixed.
