The campsite was nice and quiet, the only thing we could hear every hour was the clock tower in the church nearby.
Our camp site at Dienville known as Le Tertre.
This must have been a Market Place in its time and maybe still is. It was amazing to see how they had re-done the ceiling so that it will be preserved for future generations.
Some other old buildings in the town that have been preserved.
A lot of the houses in this area had this sort of mock tudor style, they looked very intriguing and interesting.
We had a couple of good walks here, looking at the boats and walking around the huge park. There was also an area, behind the marina which had a few different restaurants, all open but not many people about. It is probably a very popular place in the summer and very busy then.
| Anyone want to buy a boat?? |
| A lovely beach area as well. |
We spent two pleasant nights here and then decided to move on, travelling south.
