Picturesque Drive North of Roses

We took a couple of drives north of Roses along the coast and saw some lovely scenery, each time we came over the top of a hill there seemed to be another beautiful bay with a secluded beach.
The first trip we took we ended up on a dirt road but that was no problem for our Discovery although I was hanging on quite tightly a few times as we seemed to be very near the edge which often looked like a sheer drop to me, to the sea below. Rob as usual just took it all in his stride.

Our Discovery looking like an advert for something, Land Rovers or holidays in the sun!!!!

The views certainly made up for the road.

We finally had to stop as the road finished here at a place called Joncals. It was very quiet with no one around. There was a small apartment block and a few houses with an advert for a restaurant which we couldn't find. It was probably not open anyway!

So Rob decided to play his bagpipes. The small boat on the left has Taxi Service written on it. Now this is somewhere I could run a taxi from, just sitting on the beach and answering the phone, would do me fine, Rob could drive the boat!!!!
We then took the road out again and retraced our steps back to Roses.

This was a house we passed on the way back which seemed to be in the middle of no where.

The next time we took a drive out we again went north but this time stayed on a normal road. It was still rather narrow and twisty but not quite so scarey.
A view of Roses

We followed this motorhome for quite a while, I don't think I would like to drive this around these roads although we did pass a few caravan sites on the way, not sure I would even dream about taking our caravan along here.

The first place we stopped at was Cadaques which was a pretty town, sitting on a hillside overlooking the sea.

One of the many large houses in Cadaques that was once owned by a writer and doctor.

Cadaques is also famous for many artists and writers including Salvadore Dali.

Tried to find out if this was something by Dali but not sure, it could be by someone else but inspired by Dali.

We then drove a little further to Llanca which is another pretty fishing port where we stopped for a short while before we drove back to Roses again.
